The Right to an Adequate Standard of Living: an Interdisciplinary Perspective

In line with the objectives set forth by Mednight 2023, the 2030 Agenda and the University of Messina Sustainability Strategy, a research group, coordinated by professor Parrinello, has been established with the purpose of examining, from a legal-institutional perspective, whether and to what extent the development processes of the Mediterranean countries – with particular reference to Southern Italy – are capable of promoting community well-being in accordance with the principles of sustainability, while ensuring compliance with the principle of intergenerational equity and safeguarding the rights of future generations. The results of the interdisciplinary research have been incorporated into an edited volume.
