SERRANO Salvatore

Salvatore Serrano was born in Catania, Italy, in 1972.
He received the degree in "Computers Engineering" and Ph.D.
degree in "Computers and Telecommunications Engineering" from the
University of Catania, Italy, in 1999 and 2003 respectively.
From November 2005 to October 2007 he was with the
Department of Computers and Telecommunications Engineering at
the University of Catania as research fellow with a temporary position.
From March 2008 to October 2012 he has been with the Department of Matter Physics and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering,
University of Messina.
From November 2012 to July 2015 he has been with the Department of "Electronic Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, and Engineering" at the University
of Messina, as researcher and Assistant Professor.
From July 2015 he is with the Department of Engineering at the University
of Messina, as researcher and Assistant Professor.
His research interests are in the field of
digital signal processing, speech and audio signal processing and coding,
speech and speaker recognition, biomedical signal processing,
data mining, voice over IP, wired and wireless communications systems.
Salvatore Serrano is coauthor of more than 60 papers on
international journals and congress proceedings.
