The edition of the Ecatommiti (published in 2012 in the series I novellieri by Salerno Editrice, Rome, in 3 volumes of about 2300 pages in total and accompanied by an extensive introduction, commentary and critical apparatuses) has also constituted a remarkable test bed for the ecdotic methodologies related to the texts published in print, soliciting ting theoretical reflections in monographs (Che cos'è la filologia dei testi a stampa, serie Bussole, Carocci editore, 2014) in articles (Tra bibliografia e critica del testo: un esempio dell’editoria cinquecentesca, "Ecdotica" 2008, pp. 126-145) and essays (Critica letteraria, filologia, bibliografia nell’età contemporanea, in Quattro conversazioni di filologia, edited by A. Per Gianvito Resta, edited by V. Fera and G. Ferraù, Padua 1997, III, pp. 1873-1937: Una bucolica ‘elegantissimamente composta’: il volgarizzamento delle egloghe virgiliane di Bernardo Pulci); 2) studies on sixteenth-century tragedy, including the edition (with an extensive introduction and commentary) of Ludovico Dolce's Marianna (Turin, RES Editions, 2011) and the promotion and coordination of the Census of Italian tragedies of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, as part of the journal "Studi giraldiani. Letteratura e teatro"; 3) studies on the reception of Orlando Furioso (on which the essay entitled Gli esordi della critica ariostesca: Lodovico Dolce e l’edizione del “Furioso” del 1535, in «Studi medievali e umanistici», 2013); 4) studies on the editorial fortune of Petrarch's Rerum vulgarium fragmenta in the 16th century (on which the essay Strategie culturali di Dolce editore petrarchesco, in Per Lodovico Dolce. Miscellanea edited by P. Marini and P. Procaccioli (Vecchiarelli editore); 5) studies on the use of the classics in the eighteenth century and on the debate on poetry (a significant outcome concerns the analysis of the editorial paths of Muratori's treatise Della perfetta poesia italiana: Un ritrovato autografo della "Perfetta poesia italiana" di Ludovico Antonio Muratori: nuove prospettive ecdotiche, «Filologia e critica», 3, 2013; 6) a study of the reception of Aristotelian Poetics, which resulted in the commentary on Giraldi's Discorsi, the paper on Giraldi e la teoria del personaggio 'mezzano' tra teatro e novellistica (presented at the Simposio internacional en homenaje a Renzo Cremante in Valencia, 8-10 November 2012 and published in «Critica Letteraria», a. 41, 159-60, 2013), an essay on Manzoni reader of Castelvetro's Aristotelian commentary, in Europa en su teatro, ediciòn de I. Romera Pintor, Universitat de València, 2016, pp. 279-301 and finally the promotion and coordination of the census of sixteenth-century editions (commentaries, translations) of Aristotelian Poetics within the journal «Studi giraldiani. Letteratura e teatro»; 7) studies on the fortune of the Decameron and on the novellistica; 8) studies on the relationship between literature and figurative arts (see the section of the journal «Studi giraldiani» devoted to the theme of ut pictura poesis and the related articles published in 2015 and 2016 and also the dossier of «Quaderns d’Italia», 26, 2021).
