2005: Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Pisa (Italy), with a thesis in French Literature on the young Chateaubriand.

2007: Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures, Philology, Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Calabria (Italy), with a thesis in French Language and Literature on Chateaubriand as a translator and as a translated author.

2012: Ph.D. in French Literature at the University of Salerno (Italy) and at the University “Jean Monnet”, Saint-Étienne (France). Binational degree obtained with the highest grades (Ottimo - Très Honorable avec Félicitations du Jury à l’Unanimité).

2014: Qualification aux fonctions de Maître de conférences - Sections 9 (French Literature) and 10 (Comparative Literature).

2018: Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale (Associate Professor Habilitation) - Section 10/H1 (Lingua, Letteratura e Cultura Francese). Title awarded by unanimous decision of the committee.

2020: Associate Professor (“Professore Associato”) of French Literature (L-LIN/03, section 10/H1) at the Department of Ancient and Modern Civilizations (DICAM), University of Messina.

2024: Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale (Full Professor Habilitation) - Section 10/H1 (Lingua, Letteratura e Cultura Francese). Title awarded by unanimous decision of the committee.


My fields of research focuse on the evolution of the epic genre in the 18th and 19th centuries, on Enlightenment fiction, on representations of America in Modern French Literature, on intertextuality and traductology. I have made numerous studies of Marmontel, Voltaire, Raynal and Chateaubriand.
