ANALYSIS OF THE RESIDENTIAL PATTERN OF FOREIGN IMMIGRANTS IN CATANIA USING GWR MODELLING

In this paper we proposed the use of geographically weighed regression (GWR) to describe the settlements patterns of some foreign residence groups in the city of Catania. It has been attempted to distinguish between a desired concentration resulting from the natural tendency of each individual to live with his/her own from economic constraints and in particular from the cost of renting of housing units.
