PELLEGRINO Orazio

Orazio Pellegrino is currently Full Professor at the Engineering Department of the University of Messina.

After graduating from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (4.4.1991) he received a research contract with the University of Palermo (16.9.1992) and a scholarship from the European Community (560 hours - attendance compulsory from 27.03.1995 to 11.07.1995).

In 1996 he won the competition for the PhD (XII cycle) at the University of Catania, Faculty of Engineering. The final exam, held at the end of the three-year period on 10.03.2000, was passed with honors.

Subsequently he obtained the two-year Post-Doctoral fellowship (31.07.2000) and the four-year research grant (24.4.2002) at the Engineering Faculty of Messina, Road Infrastructure Engineering sector.

He has also been awarded two research contracts respectively with the Ministry of LL.PP. (from 07.07.2000 to 07.10.2000) and with the Engineering Faculty of Messina – Department of Construction and Advanced Technologies (from 03.01.2002 to 06.01.2002).

From 28.11.2005 he is a Researcher at the University of Messina.

Since 19.1.2017 he has been qualified as associate professor, in relation to the 2012 ASN session, after review by the newly composed Commission following the sentence of the Lazio TAR.

From 29.12.2017 he is Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering of the University of Messina.

From 7.9.2018 (until 07/09/2027) he is qualified as full professor, in relation to the ASN session 2016 - 2018, fifth quarter. Competition sector 08/A3 – SSD ICAR/04.

From 1 February 2022 he is Full Professor at the Engineering Department of the University of Messina
