SCIARRONE Danilo

Prof. Danilo Sciarrone is Full Professor in the Scientific Disciplinary Sector CHIM/12 - Chemistry of the Environment and for Cultural Heritage, at the Department of Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences of the University of Messina. In March 2008 he obtained a PhD in "Chemistry and food safety". In August of the same year, he was the winner of a 2-year research grant entitled "Development of innovative multidimensional micro chromatographic systems for the analysis of complex mixtures". In 2012 he received the “Leslie Ettre Award”, in 2013 and 2016 he was awarded The Analytical Scientist Innovation Awards (TASIAs), in 2018 he was included in the “Top 40 under 40” Power List to celebrate the best young scientists in the analytical sciences. National coordinator of the FIRB 2010 Futuro in Ricerca and PRIN2022 Projects, local coordinator of the PRIN 2015 Project “Multifunctional nanotools for advanced cancer diagnosis”, Scientific responsible for the Messina Research Unit within the PRIN2015 Project “Multifunctional nanotools for advanced cancer diagnosis”. Chairman of the 2nd IRMS Day in Messina organized with the Mass Spectrometry Division of the SCI, member of the organizing committee in various conferences ISEO 2004, ISCC 2012 GCxGC 2012, Extech 2012, SepSci 2013, SepSci 2018. He carries out refereeing activities for the major journals and international scientific publications in the sector including those published by Wiley-VCH, Taylor & Francis, and Springer. He is the author of 6 book chapters with international circulation, 174 conference communications (24 national and 150 international), and 60 articles in international journals. Since 2011 he has held a course in Analytical Chemistry for the Pharmacy Degree at the University of Messina.
