BRUNO Antonio

Antonio Bruno graduated in Medicine in 1999, specialization in Psychiatry with honors in 2003, and PhD in Psychiatry in 2007 at the University of Messina.
From 23/03/2011 to 22/03/2017 he was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (MED/25) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Messina.
From 09/01/2018 to 08/01/2021 he was Senior Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (MED/25) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Messina.
Since 09/01/2021 he is Associate Professor of Psychiatry (MED/25) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Messina, where he is involved in teaching and research within the Department of Biomedical, Dental Sciences and Morpho-functional Imaging.
Lecturer in the courses of Medicine and Surgery, Physiotherapy, Neuro and Psychomotor Therapy of the Evolutionary Age, Rehabilitation Sciences, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technique and in the School of Specialization in Psychiatry of the University of Messina.
Since 2003 he is an ordinary member of the Italian Society of Psychiatry – SIP.
From 2010 to 2013 he was the Coordinator of the Youth Section Psychiatrists Calabria Region, affiliate of the Italian Society of Psychiatry.
Since 2013 he is board member of the Section of Adolescent Psychiatry, affiliate of the Italian Society of Psychiatry.
Author/co-author of 176 publications in journals with impact factor, international medline journals, national journals, books chapters, and abstracts related to participation to Congresses; his main research interests are: psychopharmacology (augmentation of therapeutic strategies for treating patients with schizophrenia and obsessive-compulsive disorder resistant or partial responders to treatment), psychosomatics, anger and negative emotions, sexual behavior, nutraceutical applications in psychiatry.
