She has given papers at numerous national and international conferences. Her main field of interest is humanistic culture between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, in which she has worked along a number of routes and through different areas of the Peninsula (Rome, Florence, Bologna, Siena, Ferrara, Messina): from Petrarchian historiography to fifteenth-century literature, from the fortune of the Greek and Latin classics to philological humanism and consumer literature in the early sixteenth century. Along the lines of the fortune of the classics, there are contributions devoted to the reception of authors such as Oppiano, Plutarco and Pliny the Elder, with specific attention to some of the protagonists of fifteenth-century culture (Lorenzo Lippi, Raffaele Regio, Angelo Poliziano, Filippo Beroaldo the Elder): a path of study that has also been enriched by insights into philological humanism, aimed at investigating the achievements of a method that experienced a profound crisis in the transition from the fifteenth to the sixteenth century. Along these lines are several studies on the Roman environment, in which restlessness and new sensibilities found expression in forms of ephemeral literature. The recent study aimed at recovering and enhancing the value of printed texts produced on the occasion of the election of Hadrian VI also falls within this framework. Finally, a second and more circumscribed field of interest, nineteenth-century classicism, is grafted onto the theme of the fortunes of the classics. This has led both to research focusing on the Latin poetry of Giovanni Pascoli and to a handful of studies dedicated to Diego Vitrioli and the classical tradition in Italy.
