- From 2023 to today: He is Associate Professor after ASN selection and final evaluation in November 2023

- From 2011 after confirmation in 2014 until 2023: He is permanent Researcher (RUTI) at the University of Messina after the competition held the 2nd of February 2011. Since then He is officially in charge for the teaching classes of “Chemistry” for the bachelor degree courses in “Biotechnology” and “Gastronomic Sciences” at the University of Messina

- From 1-1-2010 – to 31-12-2012: He assessed his definite independent and multidisciplinary scientific activity working for the third PhD in “Food Chemistry and Safety” (XXVI cycle, SSD CHIM10) under the supervision of prof. D Giuffrida at the University of Messina. He published, beside the third thesis, several papers by opening innovative frontiers in the field of spectroscopical methods applied to the food characterization and analyses

-From 1-1-2007 to 31-12-2009: He refined his scientific education and production during the second PhD in “Microbial and Cell proliferation Biotechnology” (XXII cycle, SSD MED/07). Beside the second thesis, he developed several studies based on the conformational analysis of molecules with related biological activities.

-From 15-07-2002 to 15-07-2006: He had been working with a four-years Research Grant (SSD CHIM03) on the project “Structural studies and quantum-mechanic calculations of small molecules and proteins with relevant biological interest”. In this period, he attended the Inorganic Chemistry laboratory in Messina, but also other laboratories spread in Italy (Università di Siena; Università di Trieste; Università di Palermo; and others). At the same time-range he paved the way to the first studies at the University of Messina concerning the “Crystal Engineering” with the synthesis and solid state characterization of several “Organic-Inorganic and metal-organic-frameworks"

From 1-10-1998 to 30-09-2001 He specialized his education working for his first PhD in “Chemical Science” (XIV cycle, SSD CHIM03), beside the thesis, he published several scientific papers in collaboration with national and international collabors

From 15-06-2000 to 31-08-2001 He attended the international laboratories at the “Chemistry Department” - Simon Fraser University (SFU, Vancouver, BC, Canada) as visiting PhD in “Chemical Science”. In this period he improved his knowledge in the conformational analysis by spectroscopical methods (NMR) to better understand biologically active molecular systems

Archimede Rotondo is author of 80 published papers on international journals with independent referees with the total h-index of 22 and 1411 citations. He himself is referee of many search productions, attended to more than 30 national and international meetings in the field of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry. He is author of a Basic Chemistry textbook (see the personal site) and contributed to other text Volumes. He was awarded as productive researcher at the University of Messina (2005) and also participated to some national projects like the PRIN 2005 and the Academic project 2021 at the University of Roma 1
