Description
Prof. Dr. Luigi Mondello is Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences Department of the University of Messina, Italy. He received a degree in Chemistry from the University of Messina in 1991. Prof. Mondello teaches the course of Analytical Chemistry at the Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences Department of the University of Messina and at the University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, Italy. He has been Deputy for Research (Science and Technology Area) at the University of Messina, and he is actually member of the Teaching Board of the Doctorate Course on “Chemistry Sciences”.
He is the author of around 650 scientific publications (research articles, book chapters, and reviews, Scopus) and 900 conference presentations.
His research interests include Chromatography techniques (HRGC, HPLC, HRGC/MS, HPLC/MS, OPLC) and the development of coupled techniques such as LC-GC-MS, GC-GC, GCxGC, LCxLC, LCxGC and their applications in the study of natural complex matrices. Prof. Mondello has been invited speaker in several national and international meetings.
Professor Mondello has been a member of the organizing committee of numerous national and international conferences and has received numerous international awards and recognitions. Professor Mondello is also included in the Via Academy's list of "Top Italian Scientists," ranked 46th out of 439 in the "Chemistry" section. The Analytical Scientist Journal included him in its "Power List" of the 100 most influential people in analytical sciences in 2013, 2015, and 2017.
