SINTESI. Il presente lavoro offre una rassegna delle principali problematiche dei verbi stativi nella lingua inglese e suggerisce una interpretazione del rapporto tra «verbità» e «statività» che, pur richiamando tesi antiche, cerca di approfondirne il valore semantico. ABSTRACT. The present paper offers a review of the main problems of stative verbs in English and suggests an interpretation of the relationship between «verbity» and «stativity» which, while recalling ancient theses, tries to deepen their semantic value.
