Abstract:
This article aims to provide a general overview of the Sicilian households in the modern age. It is possible to get information on Taormina by the data emerging from the popolution census of 1681. As a result, it is confirmed the most popular family structure in Sicily was centered on a single marital unit and the neo-house residence. Contemporary families in Europe had similar characteristics.
