In ascolto dei nuovi adolescenti

L’articolo propone l’ascolto degli adolescenti e l’“alleanza” con loro come
strumenti privilegiati sia per comprendere meglio il mondo dei giovani e
quello degli adulti, sia per intervenire efficacemente dal punto di vista educativo.
Emerge con sempre maggiore forza che il disagio degli adolescenti
è frutto del disagio del mondo adulto, del suo non saper più rispondere alle
domande esistenziali e del non riuscire a dare più un senso alla sua vita.
Si è creata così una situazione in cui il disagio dei giovani esaspera le contraddizioni
dell’adulto, il quale – a sua volta – non sa più come affrontare
le crisi dei giovani. La proposta del Sinodo dei Vescovi sui giovani è quella
di ripartire dai giovani, mettendosi in ascolto delle loro critiche, delle loro
preoccupazioni, delle loro aspirazioni e delle loro domande per scorgere i
segni nuovi dei tempi che stiamo vivendo e le vie che l’educazione è chiamata
a percorrere.
The article proposes listening to the adolescents and the “alliance” with them
as privileged tools both to understand better the world of young people and
that of adults, and to intervene effectively from an educational point of view.
The discomfort of adolescents is always the result of the discomfort of the adult
world, of his not being able to answer the existential questions and of failing to
give a meaning to his life. The current situation is that the discomfort of young
people exacerbates the contradictions of the adult, who – in turn – no longer
knows how to deal with the crises of young people. The proposal of the Synod
of the Bishops on young people is to start from the young, listening to their
criticisms, their worries, their aspirations and their questions to see the new
signs of the times we are living and the ways that education is called to travel.
