Course program Production Animals Knowledge of the International and National Health Organizations of greatest interest to the Veterinary Physician: Veterinary Services in the European Union; National Health System; National Reference Centers; Peripheral Offices; Veterinary health in the Regions; Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes; ASP and Coordination of Veterinary Services (1 hour) Herd health management visit (1 hour) Identification of livestock for the livestock registry; (National identification and registration system of the herds and of the heads of the main zootechnical species: ability to read and interpret the breeding codes, identification of the herd, the bovine passport, the company register of loading and unloading, consultations of the National Data Bank (2 hours). Notification of infectious diseases and major zoonoses to the Public Health Authorities (2 hours). National control and eradication plans for infectious diseases according to the Veterinary Police Regulations carried out by the Public Service (2 hours). Rules for the transport of livestock. National and international health emergencies Surveillance and control systems for import epidemics (2 hours). Epidemiology Food-borne zoonotic diseases, emerging and re-emerging diseases (2 hours). Companion Animals Intra-community and international exchanges; International standards and passport for the transfer of pets abroad: ability to read and interpret (1 hour) Identification of pets for the canine registry; (Identification of dogs at national and regional level, obligations and responsibilities of keepers and traders, role and responsibility of the veterinarian in charge of identification) Positioning, reading and official registration of the microchip (2 hours).
