The student must have acquired: extensive knowledge of the diagnostic, clinical
and instrumental, the pathophysiology and preventive and therapeutic aspects of
pediatric patients.
The identification of diagnostic pathways can help to define the various types of
diseases in the developmental age.
The acquisition of specific skills on the prevention, interception and treatment
of: caries; diseases of deciduous teeth, permanent and immature permanent
teeth; periodontal disease; malocclusion; dental-skeletal disorders. The course
provides information on the development and growth of the child knowledge
and skills and the systemic diseases that can have repercussions on the
stomatognathic apparatus and their management.
The acquisition of the ability to multi-disciplinary approach of pediatric patients,
including the behavioral management of the child in the most common diseases
of pediatric dental specialist field, even under conditions of general interest, and
know how to recognize cases that require referral to a pediatrics.
