Abstract:
Enactive technologies. Mediation from a cognitive perspective. In this paper, a position about the relation between media and cognition will be discussed.
In particular, I will try to verify if media and technology are constitutive extensions of the human aesthetic experience. In order to support this statement, opposite or complementary stances – including extended mind hypothesis, enactive cognition, cognitive archaeology, media theory and other conceptual frameworks – will be evaluated and discussed; moreover, some case studies will contribute to better illustrate the scenario.
