Innovative translational approach to systemic or organ-specific genetic, inflammatory and degenerative diseases
Group Our group is designed for innovative research activities characterized by a translational approach that aims, thanks to the objective measurability of the results obtained, to study diseases such as bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and/or lung cancer, starting from their molecular bases and progressing to their clinical characterization. This approach aims to transform the research data obtained into clinical applications that can innovate and/or improve the methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of these diseases. In addition, the laboratory studies the early risk factors for these diseases that are present in children and during the transition from childhood to adulthood.
