Full Professor of History of Political Thought in the Department of Political Sciences, University of Messina.

I obtained the Ph.D. in "History of Republicanism and Constitutionalism", at the University of Messina on November 17, 1997, discussing the final dissertation entitled “The Republican Illusion. John Taylor of Caroline”.

I got a scholarship for post-doctoral research in History of Republicanism and Constitutionalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Messina on 19/05/99.
I completed with distinction a Fulbright Institute, sponsored by the State Department of the United States, on “The U.S. Constitution: Origins, Evolution, and Contemporary Issues”, held at the "Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government" in Easton (Pennsylvania ) in 2002.
Research Fellow in History of Political Thought (Political and Social Sciences) of the University of Messina. The title of the research was: The theory of the "Congressional Government" in the light of the political history of the United States.
Research Fellowship in History of Political Thought. The title of the research was: The roots of American constitutionalism and the evolution of the federal model.
In the academic year 2005-2006 I got the contract of Tutor in "History of the Americas."
In the academic year 2007/2008, I was Contract Professor of History and Institutions of North America in Political Science Faculty of the University of Messina.
Member of the “Associazione Italiana Storici delle Dottrine Politiche”.
From 2003 until 2005 I was a member of the American Political Science Association and the American Historical Association.
