Prof. Vittorio Palmara was born in Messina on 29-11-1964, in the 1983-84 Academic Year he enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Messina.
During the Academic Years 1984-85, 1985-86 and 1986-87 he attended the Institute of Morphology, Structure and Development of Man of the University of Messina as an internal student.
In the Academic Years 1987-88 and 1988-89, he is a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Messina.
From 09/03/1987 to 10/04/1987 and from 07/03/1988 to 08/04/1988, with a CNR scholarship, he attends the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda (Maryland - USA).
At the same University of Messina, on 28-06-1989, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery, with a vote of 110/110 and praise.
In the Academic Year 1989-90 he wins a scholarship issued by the Bonino-Pulejo Foundation, through which he attends the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at C. Poma Hospital from 01-02-1990 to 30-06-1990 (Mantova, Italy), actively participating in the surgical sessions of laparoscopy and gynecological surgery hysteroscopy.
Following a university degree from 02-01-1991 he is a technical assistant at the Department of Obstetrics at the University of Messina.
On 17-04-1992 he wins a scholarship issued by the Fondazione Carrozza S. Leonardo Pollicino, thanks to which he dedicated himself to the "Study of intrathystal concentrations of Steroids in Endometrial Carcinoma" at the Oncology Institute of the University of Messina.
On 06-11-1993 he attended the Specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Messina, with the vote of 50/50 and Lode.
Until January 2001, he was the Cheef of the Ambulatory of the Prevention of Genital Neoplasms in the Department of Obstetric and Gynecological Pathology.
From June 19 to 23, 2000, he was a member of the Scientific Secretariat of the "III Theoretical-Practical Course of Introduction and Development in Diagnostic and Operative Isteroscopy" at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Messina. From 01/11/2009 to 30/04/2010, he attended the IRCCS Humanitas Division of Rozzano (MI, Italy), thanks to an extraordinary leave for study, garanted by the University of Messina. During this time he learned the most modern miniinvasive surgical techniques (laparoscopy, robotics) applied to gynecological disease.
Since 02/01/2012 he has been responsible for Diagnostic and Operative Hysteroscopy at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit of Messina.
In AA. 2010 /11 and 2011/2012, 2012/1013, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 he was assigned the teaching profession of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Nursing Degree Course of the University of Messina.
