ACADEMIC CAREER

Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University of Milan in 2001 (magna cum laude and gold medal for top graduates) and in Law from the University of Pisa in 2005 (magna cum laude and included in the list of best graduates).

Ph.D. in Civil Justice at the University of Roma La Sapienza in 2009.

Adjunct professor of Civil Justice from 2010 to 2011 at the University of Roma Tre.

Researcher of Civil Justice with teaching assignment at the University of Messina from 2011 to 2019 (on tenure track since 2016).

Associate Professor of Civil Justice at the University of Messina from 2019 to 2023 (national scientific qualification of second tier achieved by unanimous vote in the 2016 round).

Appointed as Full Professor of Civil Justice by the Department of Law of the University of Messina in 2023 (national scientific qualification for the first tier achieved by unanimous vote in the 2018 round).

Holder in the University of Messina of the courses in Civil Litigation since 2023, Arbitration since 2015 and Comparative Civil Procedure since 2014.

He taught in the University of Messina Principles of Civil Litigation from 2017 to 2023 and Civil Litigation at the Universities’ decentralized venues from 2011 to 2016.

Irti Prize for the best monographic first work in the field of public law, awarded for «L’obbligo di verità delle parti» (Giappichelli, Torino, 2018).

Scientific director at the University of Messina for the project «Edu4Just», dedicated to the relationship between lawyers and justice, funded by the Ministry of University and Research among the research projects of relevant national interest (PRIN 2022) and carried out in collaboration with the Universities of Bologna, Brescia, Trento and Roma Tre.

Research stays abroad at the University of Bielefeld, the Harvard Law School Library and the University of San Paolo in 2008, at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg in 2015.

Visiting Professor at the University of Lisbon in 2017 and the University of Valencia in 2023. Invited to give conferences at prestigious Brazilian universities in the cities of San Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.

Editor-in-Chief of the Journal «Etica e giustizia: rivista di cultura giuridica» [Ethics and Justice: Journal of Legal Culture].
