7.1 Research activity
Qualitative-quantitative characterization of phytocomplexes by chromatographic techniques;
Studies of absorption and transport mechanisms of natural compounds;
In vitro and in vivo studies of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activity of plant extracts and active compounds isolated from them;
In vivo pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies on different animal models;
Pre-clinical and clinical development of new nutraceutical formulations.

1997 Prof. Domenico Trombetta has carried out research activity for 6 months at the laboratories of the Biomembranes Group, Dept. Bioquímica and Physiology, Fac. Química, Univ.
