BRUSCHETTA Giuseppe

Dr. Giuseppe Bruschetta took the Degree in Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences-University of Messina on 1999(110/110 and the academic praise).
In 2004 he took the PhD Degree in "Chemical Sciences" XV Course).
From 2003 to June 2007 he was holder of a Research Grant–Area 05(Biological Sciences) at the Biochemistry Unit-Department MO.BI.FI.P.A.-University of Messina.
He has been holder of a PRA 2004–Young Researcher Projects, University of Messina–Area05–SSD BIO/10..
Since December 29th 2008 he has been an University Researcher, SSD BIO/10–Biochemistry, at the Biochemistry Unit of Department of Veterinary Sciences, University of Messina. In academic year 2009/2010 he held the Teaching of "General and Inorganic Chemistry"(SSD CHIM/03); in 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 he held the Teaching of "Biochemical Methodologies"(SSD BIO/12); in 2012/2013 he held the Teaching of "Molecular Biology"(SSD BIO/11).
From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the Teaching Committee of the PhD in"Equine Physiology(Experimental and Applied)"(from XXV to XXVIII Course).
He is a member of It. Society of Chemistry(SCI), It. Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology(SIB) and It. Society of Veterinary Sciences(SISVET).
He is author of N.82 publications on scientific Journals. He is doing research at Dep. of Veterinary Science with other Departments of Messina University. Topics are: study of the metabolism of animal plasma and serum proteoglycans(PGs) and acid glycosaminoglycans(GAGs) and their antioxidant activity; characterization of plasma and erythrocyte membranes phospholipid composition in animal Species and their relationship with GAGs; role of serotonin in integrating nervous, behavioural and neuroendocrine stress responses in Mammals and Fish; stress response of Sparus aurata by investigating the functional properties of the haemoglobin system and globin gene expression.
