Aspetti elettrofisiologici degli effetti cardiaci dell'Olea europaea e dell'oleuropeina.

Academic Article
Publication Date:
1990
abstract:
Effects of glycer-ethanolic macerate of the leaves of Olea europaea L. and oleuropein on excito-conduction and on right atrial and ventricular monophasic action potential (MAP), have been studied in anesthetized dog using the technique of endocavitary recording. The results obtained have brought into evidence about the Olea europaea L. and the oleuropein, at higher doses tested, a slight increase of the sinusal cycle, of the time of conduction sinoatrial and of the time of recovery of the sinus node, on prolongation of the atrioventricular and intraventricular conduction and an increase of the atrial andventricular MAP duration wich is due to a lessened swftness of repolarization (phase 3). These electrophysiologic effects indicat an inhibiting action whether on swift current of entry of the Na+ on the slou one of the entry of the Ca++ and besides a decrease of K+ conductance.
