abstract:
In order to simplify the electronic chain with respect to the traditional one, we decided to apply Digital Pulse Shape Acquisition (DPSA) to collect signals from the Delta E and E stages of a monolithic silicon detector telescope, directly from the preamplifier. The collected pulse shapes are digitally processed in order to obtain the physical observables. To verify the device capability of position measurement we have bombarded the 16 strips in different points along the vertical position as well as in some points from the centre of the strip. The position information has been deduced from the signal induced on different strips by the charge collected in the E stage of the telescope. In order to explain the behavior of the induction signals, a basic model of charge generation in the monolithic telescope and of the induction for different irradiation is presented.
