Academic Article
Publication Date:
2009
abstract:
Levobunolol is a potent non-selective beta-adrenoreceptor blocking agent used for the topical treatment of glaucoma in human patients. The purpose of this study has been to comapare the effects of topical levobunolol administration to fixed combination of timolol-dorzolamide on IOP in healty dogs. We applied the 0.5% levobunolol or combination of 0.5% timolol and 2% dorzolamide in both twice a day for 7 days. The IOP were recorded daily at five times points. IOP was decreased with administration of all two drugs, but the admnistration of levobunol-dorzolamide appears more effective.
