Teaching Methods

The practical Training of "Nutrition and Feeding of Large animals" provides exclusively practical activities, in which all students carry out practical and hands-on activities, in groups, at farms under supervision of the academic staff responsible for teaching and the establishment tutor (PS) and independently (PI). The practical Training of "Nutrition and Feeding of Small animals" provides exclusively practical activities, in which all students carry out practical and hands-on activities, in groups, at kennels / catteries, breeding and at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) of the University of Messina under supervision of the academic staff responsible for teaching and/or the establishment tutor (PS) independently (PI).

Assessment Methods

The assessment of the acquisition of the One Day Skills will be carried out by the academic staff responsible for teaching during practical sessions through the discussion of the farm schedule and / or the medical records that the student will have independently filled in on the animal. The acquisition of skills by the student of the skills is ascertained with documentary verification by the Internship Commission before the Practical Assessment Test.
