Teaching Methods

Professionalizing practical activity of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in animals assisted in the Veterinary Hospital. Identification methods of drugs and toxicants at the Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology laboratories and the PanLab.

Assessment Methods

Methods of verifying the profit through interviews with the teacher and the compilation of technical sheets for large and small animals provided by the teacher. Documentary checks will be carried out by the Internship Commission before the Practical Assessment Test.

Recognition of different pharmaceutical forms (1 hour) Prescription drug (1 hour). Administration of drugs (os, iv, im, sc, ip, etc.) (1 hour) Drug dosage (Therapeutic doses, toxic doses and therapeutic index) (2 hours). Use of drugs in various apparatus (antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, anesthetics, etc.) (4 hours). Application of pharmacovigilance and pharmacosurvaillance in Veterinary Medicine (3 hours). Recognition of toxicological effects in poisoned animals (6 hours)
