Theoretical program (13 hours) Introduction to the Course. Objectives. (0,5 hrs). Introduction to the law (1.5 hrs): - Private Law and the sources of Italian law; - Elements of EU law; - Elements of civil and criminal law. Legislation on medicinal products for veterinary use (1 h). Cruelty animal and law (0,5 h). The legislation on the animal protection and welfare (animals used in scientific procedures, kept for farming purposes, during transport, at the time of slaughter or killing) (4 hrs). The European Union and Trade in Wild Fauna and Flora (0.5 h). Stray dog and cat laws and electronic identification of dogs (1 h). Legislation on the identification and registration for bovine, ovine, caprine, equine and porcine animals, of poultry, camelids, bees and of aquaculture animals (1 h). Legislation on the approval of germinal product establishments and the traceability and animal health requirements for movements within the Union of germinal products of certain kept terrestrial animals (0.5 h). Legislation on non-commercial movements of pet animals (conventional and exotic) (0.5 h). Professional liability (civil, criminal and disciplinary) (1 h). Code of Professional Conduct (0.5 h). The law on veterinary structures (0.5 h). Practical program (12 hours) Small group training on the use of informatic tools for the cognition of the Italian and European Union law. Training on the analysis and the interpretation of legal texts. (1 h). Prepare accurate and compilation of medical records and reports, informed consent form, prescription for veterinary drugs, management of the loading-unloading register of veterinary drugs. Correct disposal of special waste (carcasses, drugs, etc.) (4 hrs). Compilation of identification documents for non-commercial movements of pets and passports (2 hrs). Evaluation of animal welfare (4 hrs). Prepurchase Examination (1 h).
