Abstract:
Reti, Saperi, Linguaggi. Italian Journal of Cognitive Sciences tries for the first time to stabilize a tradition of Italian studies on cognitive sciences, that are naturalistic grounded and have a strong interdisciplinary nature, but that have acted in dis- tant physical places and not in a coordinated way so far. The cognitive sciences have in fact as main object of study the mind’s nature and functioning in any thinking system, both natural or artificial. It is one of the most ambitious project in the history of the western culture. A research project that aims to explain mental proc- esses in such a conspicuous way that also a machine can reproduce them, simulating the procedures of our activities: inferring, deducing, arguing, and also being aware, believing, imaging, wishing.
