Studio preliminare delle comunità macrobentoniche di fondo mobile in un’area industrializzata (Golfo di Milazzo)

The structure of the macrobenthic community living in an industrial area located in the southern Tyrrhenian Sea was studied, by means of mollusc, crustacean and echinoderm assemblage (polychaete data are in progress). Overall 136 taxa were identified and the bivalves Timoclea ovata and Lucinella divaricata were the dominant species. A moderate bottom stress due to river input was detected.
