Immunolocalisation of nitric oxide synthase isoforms in the epidermis of the tiger salamander, Ambystoma tigrinum

Immunoreactivity for isoforms of nitric oxidase synthase is found in the flash cells and outer-deep epidermal cell layers of the tiger salamander A. tigrinum. Despite the absence of physiological data we assume NO may be lumped together as cytocrine regulators in the amphibian epidermis.
