Abstract:
“Educational poverty”, understood as the deprivation of the possibility of learning, experimenting, developing skills, talents and aspirations, is undoubtedly closely linked to economic poverty.
Due to difficult economic conditions, in fact, especially minors do not enjoy the same opportunities as their peers in better economic situations.
In recent years, the EU has introduced some initiatives to combat child poverty and promote their education, but at present, given the limited competences in this area, interventions can be limited to promoting only cooperation between Member States.
This work intends to analyse the actions carried out so far and reflect on the new challenges and possible future progress within the Union's competences.
