Abstract:
Soft boxom death assemblages were ínvestigated in six stations located between Ancona and
S. Benedetto del Tronto (Middle Adriatic Sea). Mollusc communities characterized by high dominance
values of Corbula gibba and Turritella communis were found. Such communities were related to
diferent sedimenlatíon rales, tlue to a progressíve turbidity increase.
