Abstract:
Carcinoma of the gallbladder which is an affection with a generally, fatal prognosis, may be found with an incidence of 3% among all the neoplasias and with a ratio man-woman of 1 to 3. It is recognized that some risk factors have an important function in determining this pathology. Among those factors the most important seems to be the organ lithiasis which is present, according to literature data, in 54.3-96.9% of cases. Identifyng those factors of risk and recognizing the mutual relations between invasion and biological characteristics of the neoplasia are the fundamental moments of the study of this neoplasia. According to the anatomico-pathological classification suggested by Pennelli, modified by Batolo, the authors repair the results of a retrospective study of their case history and above all of the relationship they observed between the degree of parietal invasion, the biological characteristics of the neoplasia, the kind of treatment and the results wich were reached. They, conclude by affirming how, up to now, only the overseeing of the factors of risks, a timely diagnosis and a kee-witted choice of the treatment, represent the premises for an efficacious therapeutical prospect.
