Cytokine mRNA quantification in gastro-intestinal biopsies of dogs with idiopathic chronic enteropathies by Real time RT-PCR: preliminary results”

The aim of this study was to quantify the expression of m-RNA by real-time PCR encoding pro-inflammatory and immunoregulatory cytokines in intestinal biopsies of dogs affected with inflammatory bowel disease.
No significant difference in the level of TNF-alfa, IFN-gamma and IL-4 in normal and affected dogs.
